TEAM Charter School Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) & Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP)
The 2016-2017 school year is our third year of the Local Control Accountability Act from the State of California. The purpose of the plan, Local Control Funding Formula is to simplify how schools are funded and how the funding may be spent. Prior to the Local Control Accountability Act districts had to spend the money within one of the tightly defined categorical programs. With the new formula (LCFF) in place schools have some flexibility over the programs they support with their state funds.
The LCFF also requires school districts to develop accountability plans known as a Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) to demonstrate how public education funds are used in the district, which TEAM did with parent, staff, and community input during the 2014-2015 school year. This plan is to be reviewed and revised annually. To do so, we again need the input of parents, staff, and the community. We have scheduled an LCAP meeting at the school on Tuesday, June 9th at 3:00PM. The Public Hearing is scheduled for Thursday, June 17th at 3:00PM. Please plan to attend to provide your input. Working together we will be able to provide the opportunity of a quality education to our students.
