Ms. Clark was born in Siberia, Russia where she lived in an orphanage for five years. At age eight she was adopted and came to live in Stockton, California. Prior to her arrival in the United States she spoke only Russian and had never attended school.
Early on Ms. Clark set goals for herself that might have seemed simple to many, but for her they were to be life achievements. Today, sixteen years later, she has fulfilled many of those goals. She is fluent in English, has a college education, and has succeeded in becoming a teacher.
Ms. Clark enjoys spending time with her four-legged child (dog) named Suzy and her family. She also loves her position as a teacher at TEAM Charter School, and traveling in her time off.
In May of 2010, she earned three Associate of Arts Degrees in Interdisciplinary Studies: Elementary Education Teacher Preparation, Liberal Arts and Science, and Emphasis in Humanities at San Joaquin Delta College. Two years later, in May of 2012 she received her Bachelors of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies at the University of the Pacific in Stockton. In May of 2015 she completed her Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a Multiple Subject Credential.
Before joining TEAM Charter School Ms. Clark was a long term substitute teacher with Stockton Unified School District in a combination Kindergarten and 1st grade class. Prior to her current assignment as a 2nd grade teacher Ms. Clark held the position of Para Professional at Team Charter School working with small groups to ensure they were provided the opportunity to succeed on a daily basis. Ms. Clark feels blessed to work with young children and truly enjoys seeing them develop into well-rounded students. She is looking forward to seeing her students achieve their academic goals.
